RELX | Reed Elsevier Marks 15 Years of Innovation, Talent, and Purpose in the Philippines
RELX | Reed Elsevier’s 15th year in the Philippines commemorates its long-term commitment to Filipino talent, technology, and the communities it serves.
RELX | Reed Elsevier gathered industry partners, community representatives, and senior leaders at its Quezon City headquarters to mark 15 years of operations in the Philippines. The occasion was commemorated with a ceremonial lighting of the company’s building signage. Paolo la’O, Chairman of the Global Capability Center Council of the Philippines; Evangeline Aquino, Director at Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita (KKMK) Foundation; Monchito Ibrahim, Chair of the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines; Haidee Enriquez, Head of Contact Center Association of the Philippines; and representatives from communities under the RELX Cares program attended the event.
Fifteen Years in the Making
Since its inception in 2011, RELX | Reed Elsevier has expanded from editorial and content operations to deliver services across the entire value chain, growing to a workforce of over 6,000 knowledge workers specializing in a wide array of technology and analytics. These teams serve a range of industries—legal, healthcare, insurance, aviation, exhibitions, science and research, and financial services. Its footprint now stretches across Manila, Iloilo, Alabang, Cebu, and Davao.

That sustained growth has been recognized externally. In a survey by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista, RELX | Reed Elsevier was named among the Philippines’ Best Employers 2026, entering the Top 50 for the first time while marking its third consecutive year as part of the list.
“From our humble beginnings, RELX | Reed Elsevier invested deeply in learning and development across all disciplines of technology, analytics, industry domains, and leadership,” said Mark R. Lwin, Managing Director, RELX | Reed Elsevier. “Our mission has been to develop and invest in Filipino talent who have grown with us through the many years.”
“We are very well poised … to create employment for our people and help them build their careers and their professional capabilities. This is part of the nation-building that we should all be proud of,” added la’O.
Technology with Purpose

The Philippine operations of RELX contribute directly to the products and platforms that professionals around the world rely on daily—across software engineering, data science, AI development, risk analytics, and digital operations.
That work carries impact. RELX’s authoritative content gives professionals in the Philippines and around the globe the foundation to build solutions that support medical research, improve legal workflows, and help organizations detect and prevent financial fraud.
This body of work reflects a broader organizational philosophy—that technology is most valuable when it serves a clear human purpose. This has guided the company’s growth in the Philippines and continues to shape its operations.
Investing in Filipino Talent
RELX | Reed Elsevier invests in its people through sustained professional development. Through One RELX | Reed Elsevier University, a platform for content and learning across professional domains and industries, employees deepen their expertise across technology, analytics, business, and leadership. They also have access to certifications spanning AI, Agile, Six Sigma, RPA, and Information Security, and work alongside global experts who extend their development well beyond the local market.
RELX | Reed Elsevier extends that investment to the wider community through RELX Cares, the company’s community program. In partnership with the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation, RELX announced a total donation of PHP4.3M for 2026 initiatives, underscoring its continued support for education access and long-term talent development. The partnership also helped create pathways for scholars to transition into the workforce. Seven former scholars are now part of RELX | Reed Elsevier’s talent community.
“RELX | Reed Elsevier and KKMK share the same mission to empower disadvantaged students through education,” said Aquino. “Through more CSR programs like this, more disadvantaged children and youth would get the opportunity to learn and fulfill their dreams.”
This dual investment in its workforce and the wider community has shaped how RELX | Reed Elsevier is seen as an employer. RELX | Reed Elsevier was recognized as the #3 Top Inspiring Workplace in Asia by the Inspiring Workplaces Group in its 2025 rankings, with a Best-in-Class Special Recognition for Inspiring Culture and Purpose.
Looking Ahead
The anniversary brought together industry and community partners—a reflection of the network RELX | Reed Elsevier has built over 15 years.

As the company moves into its next chapter, its commitments remain consistent: developing Filipino talent, innovating with technology solutions that serve global markets, and deepening its role as a long-term partner in the country’s growth.
“Our commitment is to develop higher value digital analytics and technology-enabled capabilities, to deepen industry domain expertise, to grow leaders with a common mission of servant leadership, to invest in future-ready Filipino talent, and to strengthen our role as a long-term partner in the country’s growth,” added Lwin.
