Ajinomoto Philippines Launches the World of Ajinomoto PH, an Immersive Tour Through Food Science, Innovation, and Quality
Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) is opening the doors of its Bulacan facility to offer the World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour, a fun and engaging learning activity that takes visitors on a journey through the science, innovation, and people behind the global pioneer and widely recognized seasonings brand.

This specially curated tour highlights the discovery of umami, the first basic taste; the story and science behind monosodium glutamate (MSG) and the growth of APC as a trusted flavor enhancer of Filipino cooks and foodies for more than 65 years.

The World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour gives a closer look at how Ajinomoto products in the Philippines are made, packed, stored and delivered with stringent quality controls and greener operations. A sensory experience of umami was curated for visitors to understand the rich, savory flavor that enhances many of the brand’s products.

Free for all interested goers, the World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour is part of APC’s efforts in contributing to the Ajinomoto Group’s 2030 Roadmap, aiming to help extend a healthy life expectancy for 2 billion people and reduce their environmental impact by 50%.

APC President Daizaburo Koga explained that opening the Bulacan factory to the public is a response to continuous and growing requests from students, educators, organizations, and community groups seeking meaningful knowledge-building and experiential learning opportunities. In recent years, it has been conducting a straightforward factory visit mainly for high school and college students. “We realized that our factory has a story worth sharing. This led us to design a more structured and engaging factory tour experience,” he mused.

The World of Ajinomoto Philippines Factory Tour provides an opportunity to demonstrate APC’s commitment to promoting nutrition, health and sustainability. Reflecting these core focus are initiatives such as I Love Veggielicious® which calls for more vegetable consumption; BawAsin®, an effort encouraging reducing salt intake without sacrificing deliciousness; as well as the factory’s transition to using 100% renewable energy and deployment of a pioneering 40-foot Electric Vehicle (EV) tractor head and trailer wing van for sustainable logistics.

Mr. Koga adds “We designed the factory tour so people can see what we mean by our ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ philosophy. It is really about encouraging everyone to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals that positively impacts well-being. All our actions are directed towards contributing to a healthier, more sustainable society.”

Products are delivered by the EV truck (right) from the factory to the logistic hubs for redistribution and delivered to various sales stations. The charging station (left) powers the EV truck and can fully charge the vehicle in an hour and a half.
The World of Ajinomoto PH Factory Tour is open every Tuesday and Thursday, with tour sessions available in the morning at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and afternoon, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Each tour session requires at least 15 participants to proceed while special arrangements can also be made for larger groups with advance notice.
