The Heart of Tahanang Cebuana: Building a Culture Where Everyone Belongs
For Cebuana Lhuillier, home is more than a place—it is where every individual feels seen, respected, and valued for who they are. This Pride Month 2026, the company brings this belief to life through “Tahanang Cebuana, Tanggap Lahat Dito,” a meaningful expression of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, strengthened by the power of allyship.

More than a Pride Month campaign, it reflects a workplace culture grounded in empathy, respect, and belonging—one that fosters a safe and inclusive environment where employees, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity and expression, can truly feel at home. Through the stories of LGBTQIA+ employees and the allies who stand beside them, as well as the company’s inclusive policies, programs, and initiatives, Cebuana Lhuillier demonstrates how acceptance is lived every day through listening, understanding, and supporting one another. Together, these efforts cultivate a workplace where everyone is empowered to live authentically, contribute confidently, and thrive both personally and professionally.
“At Cebuana, we believe that acceptance is more than tolerance, it is choosing respect over judgment, support over silence, and love without conditions. Pride Month reminds us that everyone deserves a place where they are not only allowed to exist but also celebrated and embraced as family. That is the spirit of Tahanang Cebuana,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
For Grace Unidad, Account Management Department Head and Officer in Charge, that spirit is something she experiences every day. “Cebuana feels like home because it gives me the freedom to be my true self while being part of a respectful and inclusive community. I feel valued as a person, and that sense of recognition makes my work experience more meaningful,” she shared. “My colleagues foster a culture of openness where everyone is encouraged to participate and be heard. This environment empowers me to contribute with confidence and to help create a space where others feel equally safe and included.”
Grace’s experience reflects a culture where inclusion is everyone’s responsibility. At Cebuana, colleagues help foster understanding, encourage open conversations, and create spaces where people feel respected and valued regardless of their background or identity.
For Account Management Officer Mark Anthony Ocbena, helping create that environment begins with recognizing the dignity and worth of every individual. “Showing allyship is important because everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are,” he said. “When we choose empathy, listen with an open mind, and support one another, we help create a workplace where people feel safe to be themselves and confident in contributing their best. It’s the everyday acts of kindness and inclusion that make work feel less like just a job and more like a place where everyone truly belongs.”
This commitment extends beyond the workplace and into the communities Cebuana serves. During Pride Night 2026, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI) and Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers (CLIB) translated these values into action through a CLFI Pledge Wall, where participants affirmed their support for equality, and the distribution of free ProtectMax insurance, reinforcing the company’s commitment to protection, care, and empowerment for all.
Cebuana also stood in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community at the LOVELAB4N Pride March Festival 2026 at the University of the Philippines Diliman, joining hundreds of thousands of Filipinos and supporters in a collective call for dignity, equality, and human rights. Its presence underscored a broader purpose: helping build communities where everyone can live openly, confidently, and free from discrimination.
For Jo-Ann Tacorda, First Vice President and Group Head for Corporate Services, creating a workplace where people feel at home is an ongoing commitment that extends far beyond Pride Month. “True inclusion happens when people feel they can bring their whole selves to work and know they will be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. At Cebuana Lhuillier, we continue to foster a culture where diversity is embraced, people look out for one another, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive. That is what makes Tahanang Cebuana more than a campaign—it is a reflection of who we are as an organization,” she said.
Through “Tahanang Cebuana, Tanggap Lahat Dito,” Cebuana Lhuillier reaffirms that inclusion is not a once-a-year commitment but a value woven into its culture and purpose. By fostering belonging within its organization and extending that same care to the communities it serves, Cebuana continues to help create a future where everyone feels accepted, empowered, and truly at home.
