Manulife, Chinabank Reinforce Renewed Bancassurance Partnership as Manulife President and CEO Phil Witherington Visits Manila

Following the 15-year renewal of their bancassurance agreement, senior leaders from Manulife and Chinabank met to advance their shared commitment to helping more Filipinos access holistic protection, health, and wealth solutions.

Manulife’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Phil Witherington, visited Manila to meet with the executive leadership team of Chinabank, marking another milestone in the long-standing bancassurance partnership between Manulife Philippines and Chinabank through Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation (MCBL).

The meeting builds on the renewed bancassurance partnership signed by Chinabank and Manulife Philippines in 2025, extending their partnership through MCBL for another 15 years.  MCBL continues to serve customers across the Philippines through its 650 nationwide Chinabank and China Bank Savings branches, providing access to a portfolio of life, health, wealth, savings, and retirement solutions that support the long-term financial security of Filipino families. Building on a partnership that began in 2007, MCBL has gained fresh momentum following the renewal, supported by double-digit year-on-year growth.
