HP Empowers Filipino Mompreneurs Turn Print into Business Growth
The latest HP INKredible Learning Day equips mompreneurs with practical ways to use print to strengthen their brands, streamline operations, and grow their businesses.
HP today brought together mothers and aspiring entrepreneurs for a conversation and hands-on workshop, learning more about how Print can support their businesses. Part of the HP INKredible Learning Day series, the event, themed “From Print to Profit: Printing Your Way to Business Growth”, showed how print bridges online and offline operations, helping mompreneurs work more efficiently and grow their businesses.

Women accounted for 60 percent of business registrants nationwide, according to the Department of Trade and Industry’s 2025 data, underscoring their strong presence in Philippine entrepreneurship. Research by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies also found that women entrepreneurs faced greater caregiving responsibilities than their male counterparts. These competing demands highlight the need for practical tools that help simplify everyday business tasks, reducing digital friction where possible.
As small businesses expand their presence online, print continues to play a key role in the daily business operations. A customer’s order may begin online, but the printed details that follow can help a small business make its mark; be it a personalized thank-you card, clear labels make products easier to identify, or organized invoices and records to help mompreneurs keep track of the work behind every sale.
The session focused on women building businesses alongside family responsibilities, demonstrating how printing can help them create useful materials and give their brands a more personal, consistent presentation.
“Home-based entrepreneurs put considerable resourcefulness into building their businesses, often while managing responsibilities at home. At HP, we want to support that ambition with technology they can confidently use in their everyday work. Through our INKredible Learning Day series, we’re helping mompreneurs explore practical ways to bring their ideas to life and take the next step in their business journey,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, Managing Director of HP Philippines.
Making print work for small businesses
Led by HP Philippines, the discussion explored the role of print in businesses as a smart tool that improves efficiency and one that brings innovation and imagination to life, in an increasingly digitalised marketplace. It covers which type of documents should remain on paper and how entrepreneurs can use printed materials to strengthen their branding and manage daily tasks.

The conversation also addressed balancing motherhood with running a business, connecting the workshop to the decisions mompreneurs make almost daily about their time and resources. For home-based sellers juggling multiple responsibilities and operating with a leaner team, technology is often the difference-maker and enabler for them to run their businesses efficiently, seamlessly and competitively.
This focus on simplifying everyday work also extends to HP’s broader printing portfolio through innovations such as HP Print AI and HP Scan AI Enhanced. HP Print AI helps clean up web content for printing by removing unwanted ads and unnecessary spaces, keeping the information users need. HP Scan AI Enhanced helps simplify paperwork by recognizing scanned document types and extracting key information, reducing the need to manually retype details into business records.
These features not only make work more efficient but also help mompreuners save money by reducing paper and ink waste.
Business ideas put into practice

Participants also had the opportunity to learn and experience how printed materials can help support their business operations and ideas in a workshop using ready-to-use HP Printables. At the HP Print Bar, they selected and printed templates, then personalized their materials with labels, tabs, stickers, and dividers which were eventually printed using the HP Smart Tank 580 printer.
The HP Smart Tank 580 is designed for individuals and small businesses that need reliable, high-volume printing without the hassle of frequent ink replacement. It offers print, scan, and copy capabilities, wireless connectivity, and vibrant color output for producing everything from business documents and labels to customer-facing materials.
Its high-yield ink system can print up to 6,000 black-and-white or 6,000 color pages, while the easy, mess-free refill system helps keep printing simple and cost-efficient for entrepreneurs managing day-to-day business needs. Through the hands-on activity, participants explored how these capabilities could translate into practical materials they could use in their own businesses.

“For a small business owner, being able to print materials as needed offers the convenience and flexibility to adapt, whether they’re updating a price list, personalizing an order, or organizing business records. The HP Smart Tank 580 is designed to support these everyday needs, delivering quality prints at a low cost per page so business owners can create professional-looking materials while keeping printing costs manageable,” said Trish Alonzo, Category Manager, HP Philippines.
“From Print to Profit” is part of HP INKredible Learning Day, an initiative by HP Philippines that brings the value of print to life for Filipino consumers through immersive, engaging, and educational events. In collaboration with experts across different fields, the series offers hands-on experiences that show how printing can enrich learning, inspire creativity, and support everyday pursuits at home, in school, and at work.
