Something New Is Coming to Tenya Express MITSUKOSHI BGC — Including a Surprise Premium Tendon by Tempura Master Takahashi-san

Tempura Master Takahashi-san joins Tenya Express on October 12 for a special tempura demonstration and an exclusive Premium Tendon available for one day only.

Something new is coming to Tenya Express at MITSUKOSHI BGC.

Starting October 12, Tenya Express will introduce a refreshed menu featuring a carefully curated selection of Japanese favorites, from the tempura and tendon the brand is known for to new dishes selected especially for its MITSUKOSHI BGC.

For the refresh, the Tenya team took a closer look at what belongs on the Express menu and what guests would want to come back for. The result brings together familiar Tenya favorites and new choices, with quality at the center of every dish.

Tempura, of course, remains at the heart of it.

“This refresh is about being more intentional with what we offer at Tenya Express. We carefully reviewed and curated the menu to make sure every dish fits the Express experience while maintaining the quality we want Tenya to be known for,” said Cavallino’s Director of Operations, Adele Susana “Denise” Ramos. “We wanted to give our guests better choices, introduce something new, and make the overall experience easier and more enjoyable, while keeping tempura at the heart of the brand.”

A One-Day Premium Tendon by Tempura Master Takahashi-san

There’s another reason to visit Tenya Express MITSUKOSHI BGC on October 12.

Joining the launch from Japan is Tempura Master Takahashi-san, who will conduct a special tempura demonstration and give guests a closer look at the skill and technique behind one of Tenya’s signatures.

For the occasion, Takahashi-san will also present an exclusive Surprise Premium Tendon. The special Tendon will be available for one day only on October 12, while supplies last.

Tenya Philippines’ team has undergone training in Japan, learning the techniques and standards behind Tenya’s signature tempura alongside Tempura Master Takahashi-san. His visit to Manila continues that connection, giving the local team another opportunity to learn directly from the source while giving Filipino guests a closer look at the craft behind every piece of tempura.

“I’m very happy to visit the Philippines and meet our Tenya guests,” said Tempura Master Takahashi-san. “It is often said that it takes 10 years of training to become a tempura master chef. Traditionally, this craftsmanship made tempura an expensive dish reserved for special occasions. At Tenya, we extensively studied the techniques of frying tempura and developed our Autofrying system, together with years of operation know-how. The Tenya system allows anyone who receives proper training to prepare tempura with consistent quality and authentic taste, without requiring years of specialized apprenticeship. I look forward to sharing that craft with our guests and preparing something special for them to enjoy.”

The refreshed menu will be available beginning October 12 at Tenya Express, Itadaki Food Court, MITSUKOSHI BGC.
