McDonald’s Fuels this Year’s MPTC Tour of Luzon: A Heritage in Motion

McDonald’s Philippines is supporting the 2026 Tour of Luzon as official meal provider, fueling the country’s biggest cycling event with over 8,000 meals across its 14-stage race as part of its continued commitment to active mobility.

On April 26, McDonald’s hosted a Tour of Luzon kickoff activity dubbed “The Heritage Ride,” an invitational biking event which gathered together officials from McDonald’s Philippines and the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, as well as other partners and supporters. 

The McDonald’s-fueled Heritage Ride kicked off at CaSoBē in Calatagan, with a feed zone and stop at the McDonald’s store in Balayan. The Heritage Ride covered a total of 60.4 kilometers. 

“Active mobility is an important part of McDonald’s Philippines’ commitment to sustainability, under our Green and Good program,” said Margot Torres, McDonald’s Managing Director. “Through our support for the prestigious Tour of Luzon, we also hope to shine a light on the benefits of cycling as an environmentally friendly and cost-effective mode of transport, which is especially useful during these challenging times.” 

Under the McDonald’s Green and Good program, a growing number of stores now have features that help reduce environmental impact while also promoting sustainable practices. Green and Good flagship stores have outdoor Bike & Dine features, which are bike-friendly stations where riders can rest, securely park their bikes, and access repair kits while they enjoy their McDo favorites.

In addition, McDonald’s has championed cycling through Ride the Arches. Introduced in 2023, this award-winning, world-first initiative that invites both seasoned bikers and biking newbies to pedal from one McDonald’s store to next, with the iconic Golden Arches serving as pitstops and feed zones. 

While the Tour of Luzon fever sweeps across the country, McDonald’s is joining the celebration with a Luzon-exclusive special offer. From April 26 to May 31, customers can enjoy two (2) McCafé Iced Coffee Original 16oz for only P89.
