FWD Philippines remains the country’s number one life insurer in Q2 2026
Strong growth and customer trust reinforce FWD’s role in helping Filipinos build financial confidence
FWD Life Insurance (FWD or FWD Philippines) has maintained its position as the country’s number one life insurer in terms of new business annual premium equivalent (NBAPE) for the second quarter of 2026, according to Insurance Commission (IC) report.

FWD recorded Php 5.26 billion in NBAPE, representing a 23.5% increase compared to the same period last year and bringing its market share to 12.2%. The company also maintained its number one position in single premiums and ranked third in total premiums, reflecting continued momentum across its business and the growing number of Filipinos choosing FWD.
“Remaining number one means much more than leading the market,” said Soon Liang Lau, President and Chief Executive Officer of FWD Philippines. “It reflects the trust our customers place in us every day to help them protect what matters most. We are grateful that more Filipinos continue to choose FWD as their partner in securing their future, and that trust inspires us to keep making insurance simpler, more relevant, and more accessible for every Filipino.”
Since entering the Philippine market in 2014, FWD has remained committed to changing the way people feel about insurance through customer-led innovation and easy-to-understand solutions designed to address the needs of today’s consumers.
As FWD continues to grow its reach through its agency force, exclusive bancassurance partnership with Security Bank, and digital capabilities, the company remains focused on turning market leadership into meaningful customer impact, making protection easier to understand, simpler to access, and more relevant to more Filipinos, so they can build financial confidence and celebrate living.
